In New Orleans one of the best-known and loved dishes is Jambalaya, which
is made by throwing a wide variety of ingredients into a large pot and
cooking them together. The results are delicious. Galactic, also
originating from New Orleans, takes the same approach with its music.
Mixing blues, soul, funk, rock and hip hop, Ya-Ka-May is a smorgasbord of
musical flavour that explodes in your ears. Featuring many of New Orleans'
musical legends, balanced by several younger legends-to-be, the album is
busting with energy, life and attitude. It is truly a tasty post-genre
