In a city known for its world-class improv, it takes serious chops to compete with the big boys. While #yegprov’s improv skills fall short, it does have one thing going for it: it’s the only show at the Fringe you’re encouraged to use your phone during, and the only show you can follow from the comfort of your own home. Improvisors take suggestions from audience members as they live tweet to inform scenes. In fact, the hashtag #yegprov has been trending in Edmonton since the show took to the stage, making it a success on the Twitter front. Tweet peeps should take advantage of the opportunity to take part in this social media experiment.
