The Big Stupid Improv Show

Production info:

Company: Rapid Fire Theatre
Directed by: Joe Vanderhelm
Written by: Mr. Improv
Starring: The Fringe's Funniest

Made up of a rotating crew of local improvisers and out-of-towners, The Big Stupid Improv Show is actually a last minute replacement, stepping in when, for whatever reason, the show originally booked into that time slot had to drop out. Knowing there was a critic in the house Sunday evening, host Joe Vanderhelm jokingly questioned the logic of reviewing an improv show. Which is legit. If they are doing improv right, the next show is going to be totally different. But I’ll argue that the importance of this review is to get the word out about this crazy mix of dramatic, emotional, over-the-top and, occasionally, creepy group of improvisers. Oh, and funny. They are totally, extremely funny.
