ONEymoon ( A Honeymoon for One)

Production info:

Directed by: Jimmy Hogg
Written by: Christel Bartelse & Jimmy Hogg
Starring: Christel Bartelse

Oneymoon's a charming reflection on bad dates, marital bliss, and finding happiness in a relationship, even if it's with yourself. A solid show with a clownish spirit for the come-what-may and frequently inventive methods of delivering on that: Christel Bartelse dances, raps, sings, drunkenly karaokes, tapdances, lapdances (an invisible recipient, not an audience member), taplapdances and embodies her met-on-the-Internet date (who looks nothing like he said he did), and more. As you watch Bartelse explore having tied the knot with herself, you realize it's the type of absurd, take-an-extreme-idea-to-a-logical-conclusion that's both endearing and entertaining in executing its promise to please.
