Account Manager!

We are looking for fun, enthusiastic people to join our already established team!

Candidates will be tasked with selling Edmonton’s only alternative weekly newspaper, Vue Weekly, as well as our ever expanding portfolio of PostVUE Publishing products. As an account manager you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our already well established client base, as well as you will be tasked with researching and approaching new clients to join our advertiser pool.

Duties include:

– Managing a client base

– Developing new clients

– Finding unique and creative ways to appeal to advertisers citywide

– Managing all prospective clients within your category/jurisdiction

Employment includes:

– Monthly car allowance

– Monthly cellphone allowance

– Commission on sales (in addition to a base salary)

– Benefits (upon completion of a 3 month probationary period)

Circulation Manager!

VUE Weekly requires a Circulation Manager. This position reports to the Publisher. The candidate will be responsible for increasing the reader pickup of VUE Weekly and ancillary publications and for devising and implementing various promotional strategies to improve distribution. Working with the publisher to define annual distribution goals, the candidate will be the primary contact with our independent distribution company. Additionally, the candidate will maintain weekly detailed records of all distribution performance for each of our distribution locations, and be responsible for complying with annual distribution audit requirements.

To be successful as the Circulation Manager, the candidate must be a self-starter. This is a fast-paced, high-pressure role. The candidate must be able to thrive within a deadline-driven environment. Success will be measured by the numbers. A person in this role must be able to consistently meet and surpass quotas. Creativity in developing new distribution strategies is also important, as are interpersonal skills. The  Circulation Manager must be able to build and maintain strong relationships with other staff and suppliers in order to get the job done.

Preference will be given to candidates with at least two years experience in circulation management.  Salary commensurate with experience.
