The second annual Blue Revue: Dirty Movie Film Fest, the first and only festival of sexy films in all of Dirt City, featured amateur dirty movies, loads of prizes, buckets of fun, live entertainment and much more! The Blue Revue happened at 7 pm, on September 14, 2011 at Metro Cinema at the Garneau, to celebrate the release of our annual Sex Issue.

Details regarding tickets for next year will be posted here, so check back sometime around July, 2012.

 

 

Blue Revue is fun and anonymous. Readers are encouraged to make their own short, sexy films and send them in to Vue Weekly, where a panel of experts will choose the best, which will be shown at the Blue Revue. At the Revue, the audience will determine the winners of the competition and prizes will be awarded. First place will receive $1000, second place will receive $500 and third place $250. At the end of the night, all copies of the movies sent to Vue will be destroyed.

Well, we did this once before and we didn't leak anything. All copies that you send us will be destroyed at the end of the night, as will the screener copy that we'll make. You'll get to watch us do it. After that, we will no longer be in possesion of any images of your naked butt and therefore won't even have the ability to splash it all over the Internet

We don’t have anything specific in mind, except that we’d like it to be both sexy AND fun. Last year we had videos featuring puppets, stop-motion animation, a cartoon, a few featuring poetry and nudity, and some really funny and sexy stuff we can't tell you about because it's anonymous. We’d even take a cell phone video of your boyfriend licking maple syrup off the floor in his underpants—provided he consents, of course. What we’re trying to say is that as long as it’s sexy, we’d like to see it. It definitely does not have to resemble “real” porn in any way, and it definitely does not need to be hardcore. People of all sexual orientations are encouraged to participate.

OK, here goes:

1. All participants must be over the age of 18. Proof of age for all video participants, in the form of valid ID photocopies, will be required with submission.
2. Consent and release forms for every participant must accompany every entry.
3. No animals, no poop, no kids. Illegal material will not be considered—and will be reported to the police. Oh yeah, no snuff films, even if they’re fake.
4. Entries can be no longer than five minutes. There is no amount of grace on this rule.
5. Entries should be delivered to Vue Weekly as a Qucktime or AVI file, along with all necessary documentation, on a DVD either by mail or in-person to Vue’s office, located at #200, 11230 - 119 St, Edmonton AB, T5G 2X3.
6. The deadline for entries is August 19. August 24
7. Failure to adhere to these rules will disqualify your entry from the competition.
