Welcome to Vue Weekly's Best of Edmonton awards. We asked your thoughts on over 150 categories—Yeah, we know, it was a little much. But we had over 1000 responses and upwards of 15 000 individual vote, so thanks for coming out, Edmonton.
(That said, there were several categories where the response was quite limited, and in some of those cases, there were too few votes for us to justify giving out an award. In other cases, we had a ton of votes, but virtually every vote was for a different organization— looking at you, baby photographers—so we didn't give out awards in those situations either.)
One of the most common comments we received was "Where are all the Food awards?" Well, those happen in May, in our Golden Fork Awards. So we do love the restaurants and your thoughts on them, but it's a spring thing. Check out the 2012 winners at goldenforkawards.com.
